SEVERITY: HIGH!
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Only 5["Good"] from existing 19 pre-defined StyleSheets settings have a correct interpretation for 3D structures (Good StyleSheet.mp4):

Placing a 3D structure to the document with a "Broken" StyleSheet [remaining 14], using either pre-defined structures from the existing Templates [for Instance, C60 structure from "Aromatics"] or through "Convert Name to Structure" option [type, C60], gives a correct 2D projection appearance on a screen, but has an elongated shape in "Chem3D HotLink" window (Broken StyleSheet.mp4).
It has much further implications, when to the document made from any 5 "Good" StyleSheets with correctly shaped 3D structure, that was created by one of the following ways:
Pre-defined structures from the existing Templates
Through "Convert Name to Structure" option
Through "3D Clean Up"
A "Broken" StyleSheet settings are applied with modification of existing structures. All those structures became elongated (Good to Broken StyleSheet.mp4).
DISCUSSION:
The issue was initially reported during V20 beta by me: CDBETA20-I-49, but the extend of the problem was not fully understood. I thought it only affects "New Document" to Wiley Document" StyleSheet settings change. As I see now, it's ANY change from 5 "Good" StyleSheet settings to the remaining 14 "Broken".
Additionally, it's further complicated by introduction of "3D Clean Up" feature: previously 3D structures in ChemDraw documents were a novelty and "Good" -> "Broken" StyleSheet settings changes were not that often, but "3D Clean Up" functionality is becoming popular and as I will show below, almost all of them will have elongation during "Good" -> "Broken" StyleSheet settings changes.
Create in ChemDraw a New Document. Make sure one of 5 "Good" StyleSheet settings are used.
Draw benzene, using Benzene tool from the Main Toolbar.
Select it and "3D Clean Up". Converted 3D benzene structure is flat AND planar toward the app screen.
Using "Structure Perspective" tool, slightly rotate it around X-axis. It's still the same 3D structure (right hexahedra shape), looks correct in "Chem3D HotLink" window as well.
"Apply Document Settings" from "Wiley Document" [or any 14 "Broken" StyleSheet settings] with modification of existing structures in the document.
Immediately, in "Chem3D HotLink" benzene structure became elongated hexagene AND using "Structure Perspective" tool it's elongated hexahedra [not a right hexhedra shape anymore].
If a document with a "Good" StyleSheet settings contains "3D Clean Up" structure that is non-planar to the ChemDraw app screen and "Apply Document Settings" for a "Broken" StyleSheet with modification of existing structures is used, the geometry of that "3D Clean Up" structure becomes elongated [as if it was treated as a 2D?].
For instance, spherical C60 right after apply looks correct, but rotating it from the initial view with "Structure Perspective" tool from the "Main Toolbar" reveals, it's became elongated (rugby ball) - Good to Broken StyleSheet.mp4.
Alarmingly, if to create a 3D structure in the document with "Broken" Stylesheet settings using one of the methods:
Pre-defined structures from the existing Templates
Through "Convert Name to Structure" option
Those structures are elongated in "Chem3D HotLink" window, but initial 2D projection in the document has a correct appearance [until you rotate them using "Structure Perspective" tool]. However, applying "Good" StyleSheet settings with modification of existing structures in the document doesn't make those elongated 3D structures correct shaped.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
A choice of StyleSheet settings should not elongate a shape of 3D structures. All pre-defined StyleSheet settings should be "Good".
If a document already contains a "3D Clean Up" structure, it cannot be interpreted as a 2D structure (as a planar projection) during applying of settings for a different pre-defined StyleSheet [when modification of existing structures is used].
