It would be nice to have more control when you resize brackets. For an example of how this could be implemented see how PowerPoint controls bracket size and shape.

Good idea ... I confess that to get around the scaling issue, I use a set of brackets that I drew myself using the >Pen Tools<. Making them editable would be a much better (and easier) solution.
